Back from an amazing week working back in Edinburgh with the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland as part of the NYOS Futures Ensemble. Had the pleasure of playing with extraordinary saxophonist Mark Lockheart all week with his amazing interpretation of some of Ellington’s huge catalogue of compositions.

 

It’s been amazing to work with Mark alongside musical director Malcolm Edmonstone in this exciting chamber setting. The final concert took place at The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh on Thursday 20th October and has been reviewed by Rob Adams for The Herald here:
