Trumpeter Percy Pursglove featured with the group – Photo: Munro Jack

Friday 7th October saw another opportunity to perform the new music from the upcoming album Fragment, this time in the foyer of the world-renowned Symphony Hall in Birmingham in a special reduced chamber setting. Featuring trumpeter, Percy Pursglove once again, we performed the music from the new album in this very delicate setting with double quartets: a classic jazz quartet with Percy at the helm alongside a classic string quartet lineup.

I was very grateful to receive an email from Munro Jack, keen photographer with a few shots from the gig to share. It is great to capture the music in the moment of performance and I look forward to sharing this material again in Birmingham in December with the full 18-piece big band and 13-piece string orchestra.
