A whirlwind week touring the music from brand new album Fragment ! It’s been a great opportunity to play this music in quartet setting with some incredible musicians!
Adam Jackson – alto saxophone, Thomas Seminar Ford – guitar, Chris Mapp – electric bass and electronics (Nov 1st and 2nd), Brodie Jarvie – electric bass (Nov 3rd and 4th)
After an exciting start at our beloved home club in Birmingham, Jazz at the Spotted Dog, we headed north to BBC Radio Scotland in Glasgow to perform LIVE on The Jazz House radio program. It is possible to listen again to this HERE!
Unfortunately Chris had to head back to Birmingham but it was great to have Amsterdam-based Brodie Jarvie to come and join us for the remaining gigs, the first at a great new venue in Glasgow, Dukes! The final night was also the official release night for the album and I was so grateful to be able to perform at The Jazz Bar in Edinburgh in memory of legendary owner Bill Kyle who unfortunately passed away this week.
It has been a real honour to perform this music around the country and plans are already under way to follow up with more performances around the UK next year…
